Side income

AI side income: what’s real, what’s hype

AI tools can make a side project quicker to start. They do not make it pay. We researched 4 side-income methods that use them. For each one you can see what it costs to start, how long a first euro takes as the method itself states it, how sure we are, and the dated sources behind it, free and without signing up.

Results vary. You may earn little or nothing, especially at first, and nobody, including us, can promise you any income. This is education, not financial, legal or tax advice.

The 4 methods at a glance

  1. Honest seasonal affiliate guide sitesExperimental · start €0 – €25/month
  2. Sell an AI City as a subscription: a hosted dashboard where Claude Code users watch their agents workExperimental · start €5 – €30/month
  3. Hiring intelligence — job postings as B2B buying signalsResearched · start €0 – €60/month

Who this is for, and who it isn’t

This is for you if

  • You can put in a few hours a week and wait. Check the “Time to a first euro” line on each method before you start: some say it is unproven.
  • You want evidence before effort: a label for how sure we are, and a dated source behind each method.
  • You are happy to start small. 3 of the 4 methods give a start-cost range that begins at €0.
  • You will read each platform’s own rules before you post, and keep records of what you spend and receive for your taxes.

This is not for you if

  • You want income you can count on. Nobody can promise it, including us.
  • You want someone to do it for you. Every method here is work you carry out yourself.
  • You expect AI tools to stand in for original work. Platforms write their rules against inauthentic, mass-produced content.
  • You need legal, tax or financial advice. This is education, and rules differ by country.

Sell an AI City as a subscription: a hosted dashboard where Claude Code users watch their agents work

Experimental AI tools & services · Our hypothesis. Nobody — including us — has shown yet that it works.

Build a live 3D "AI City" with the free master prompt, host it, and sell it for about $9.95 a month to Claude Code users who connect their own Claude Code through hooks and watch their agents work in the browser. Nobody, including us, has shown yet that people pay for this.

4. What can you spend, and how long can you wait?

We don’t turn these into a score. Both are estimates, and a ranking would hide that. Compare the “Start cost” and “Time to a first euro” lines on the cards, and plan for the slower end.

Hype to skip

These are the pitches we would walk away from, and what to do instead.

  • “AI does the work, the money follows.”AI tools make a project quicker to start. They do not make it pay. Read the “Time to a first euro” line on each card: where it says unproven, it is.
  • “Post a hundred videos a day.”Platforms write their rules against this. YouTube, for example, does not monetise inauthentic, mass-produced or repetitive content (checked 2026-09-26). A few original pieces made with care are what the rules leave room for.
  • “Nobody will know it’s synthetic.”Platforms ask you to disclose realistic altered or synthetic media (YouTube’s rule, checked 2026-09-26). Read the rule before you post, and follow it.
  • “Here is a screenshot of my earnings.”A screenshot is not evidence. Look for what a method says about its own result, how sure the author is, and sources with dates.
  • “Buy this course or tool first.”Start with what costs nothing. Most start costs on the cards are ranges and estimates; spend only once a free version has taught you what you need.
  • “Taxes can wait.”Keep records of what you spend and receive from the first euro. Rules differ by country, so ask a qualified adviser.
  • “It works for everyone.”Nobody can promise you any income, including us. Results depend on your own work and your market.

Questions you may have

Is this get-rich-quick?

No, and if you want fast money this is not it. Methods labelled Experimental are our hypotheses, and Researched ones are built from sources we have not measured ourselves yet. You may earn little or nothing, especially at first.

Do I need to code?

It depends on the method. Each card lists the platforms the method uses, so you can see what you would be working with before you pay anything. If a method centres on a service you already use, it is probably within reach; if it names APIs or servers, expect to be technical. The playbook names the exact tools and what they cost.

Why is part of this free?

The evidence, start costs, timelines and sources on this page are free to read, so you can judge the methods yourself. The playbook is the step-by-step work of turning one of them into a plan, and that is what the one-time price pays for.

What do I get for €19.95?

Access to every Money Methods playbook, plus each new one we publish: the exact steps in order, the tools with their prices, the platform rules, the common mistakes and every source with the date we checked it. You read them in your browser on any device. It is €19.95 in Europe and US$19.95 plus tax elsewhere.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep access for as long as Leadsler Money exists: if we ever stop offering it, we tell you by e-mail at least three months ahead; your access then ends. Updates are included at no extra cost.

Can I get a refund?

A purchase is final, with two exceptions the law gives you. If something is wrong with what you bought, we fix it or refund you. And you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase, unless you gave that right up at checkout: access starts the moment you pay, so you are asked to give it up by ticking two separate boxes, and that only counts once we have confirmed it to you by e-mail. If either step is missing, you keep the full 14 days. The details are in the terms of sale.

Want the full step-by-step playbooks?

This page shows the short version. Each method in Leadsler Money is the full playbook: the exact steps in order, the tools and what they cost, the platform rules to respect, the mistakes that sink most people, and every source we checked.
